Alpha Business School Earns Prestigious ACCA Gold Approved Learning Partner Status

Alpha Business School, one of Sri Lanka’s leading providers of professional accountancy education, has achieved a significant milestone by being awarded the Gold Approved Learning Partner status by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). This recognition places the institute among a select group of globally accredited tuition providers that meet ACCA’s rigorous standards for teaching quality, student support, and institutional excellence.

The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) is one of the world’s most respected professional accountancy bodies, recognised by employers, governments, and academic institutions across more than 180 countries. In order to maintain consistently high global standards in professional education, ACCA has established its Approved Learning Partner (ALP) programme, which recognises tuition providers that demonstrate exceptional quality in the delivery of ACCA courses.

Achieving Gold Approved Learning Partner status requires institutions to meet a comprehensive set of performance targets covering academic delivery, quality assurance, governance, student satisfaction, and overall operational standards.

After undergoing a thorough evaluation process, Alpha Business School successfully satisfied ACCA’s stringent criteria. The assessment covered multiple aspects of the institution’s academic and administrative framework, including:

  • Achieving pass rates above the Global standards
  • Effective management of ACCA programmes
  • Quality and qualifications of lecturers
  • Student support mechanisms
  • Facilities and learning infrastructure
  • Student feedback evaluation processes
  • Performance monitoring and mock examination systems
  • Continuous improvement practices in academic delivery

The accreditation was formally presented by Nilusha Ranasinghe, Head of South Asia at ACCA, together with Jehan Perinpanayagam, Chairman of the ACCA Member Network Panel, along with the ACCA team. The award was received by Shehan Fernando, CEO of Alpha Business School, Dr. Shaan Jayasekara, Chairman, Shanil Jayasekara, Director, and the academic faculty of the institute.
