The BSc Professional Accountancy is a new undergraduate degree jointly offered by the University of London [ UOL ] and the [ ACCA ] Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.  It’s specifically designed for ACCA students, affiliates, and members to combine academic study with professional progression in accountancy, saving both time and money while boosting career prospects.

What Is the BSc Professional Accountancy?

The programme allows eligible ACCA learners to earn a bachelor’s degree (BSc Professional Accountancy) from the Top 5 Ranked University of London, UK while progressing through their ACCA exams. It complements professional exams with academic credits, and in many cases can be completed in as little as 12 months thanks to recognition of ACCA exam passes.

By completing this degree, students earn:

  • A University of London undergraduate degree (globally recognised), and
  • Exemptions from ACCA’s Performance Management (PM) and Financial Management (FM) exams at no additional cost.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible to apply for the BSc Professional Accountancy programme, applicants must be registered ACCA students, affiliates, or members, and meet the following conditions by the registration deadline:

  • ✔ At least 17 years old.
  • No outstanding ACCA debt or legal holds on their ACCA account.
  • Passed or gained exemptions for all ACCA Applied Knowledge exams:
  • – Business and Technology (BT)
  • – Management Accounting (MA)
  • – Financial Accounting (FA).
  • Passed (not exempted) the following ACCA exams:
  • – Corporate and Business Law
  • – Taxation
  • – Financial Reporting
  • – Audit and Assurance.
  • (If a student holds an exemption for these, they must forfeit it and pass them with ACCA.)
  • ✔ It must be within five years of your first ACCA exam pass or the date you earned eligible exemptions.
  • ✔ English language is satisfied through ACCA eligibility — no separate test is required.

Modules

The BSc comprises three core modules:

  1. Financial Management – 30 credits
  2. Performance Management – 30 credits
  3. Project Module – 60 credits

Each module builds both academic and professional skills, with the first two aligning directly with ACCA’s FM and PM exams.

Assessment

  • Financial Management & Performance Management
    ➡ Assessed by end-of-module exams, typically online or at exam centres.
  • Project Module
    ➡ Assessed by a written project submission demonstrating research and communication skills.

The overall degree classification is based on performance across all modules.

The programme is flexibly designed:

  • Minimum completion time: 12 months
